On Sunday September 31, 2019 all roads will lead to The Quadrangle, Nana Hotel in Otta for a day of fun, music and dance to celebrate the one year anniversary of the total turnaround of the hotel from the verge of collapse to a thriving hotspot for funlovers.
This, according to Wale Seriki who’s MD/CEO of SerikiAlata Ventures, managers of Nana Hotel, is a way of saying thank you to the loyal clientele and to welcome new patrons to the hotel located at 7, Victor Ogundipe street, behind Ado Odo/Ota Local Government headquarters Ilo, Otta.
“If you know the story of Nana Hotel and the remarkable turnaround in the last one year, then you’ll know that we deserve to give ourselves a pat on the back and roll out the drums to celebrate,” Seriki told www.naijagistland.com in an exclusive interview.
Nana Hotels was founded im 1995 by the late Idowu Adejare, who put up an edifice befitting of his very high taste as a destination of choice for the savvy fun lover and a had a destination of choice to promote domestic tourism.
The founder ran the establishment for a few years until his unfortunate demise and Nana Hotel almost died with its founder as it went into decline.
Falling on hard times, the former glory was gradually eroded as the rot set in. What followed was a story of blocked drains, flea, mosquito, roach and rodent infested environment as the once mighty establishment became an embarrassing monument.
Seriki picks up the story.
“This was the story for many years until 2018 when my company SerikiAlata Ventures came on board. We came, as turnarround managers, and conquered the filthy, battered image and accompanying shame to change the story.”
Thus, Nana Hotel clawed back from imminent decline to become one of the most talked about and patronized establishments in and around Otta.
How did SerikiAlata manage this complete turnaround in just one year, we asked Seriki?
He said: “I’m an hospitality growth activist and also a socialite so I have an idea of what the average individual wants when he goes out to relax and have fun with friends and family.
“First we did a facelift of the hotel to make it appealing to patrons. We ensured professional service delivery which is prompt and satisfying and we guaranteed security of life and property. Then we created the Quadrangle.”
The Quadrangle is a forum for upwardly mobile people to luxuriate in the ambiance of a intercontinental hospitality outfit. It is exclusively preserved for those who have cause to celebrate.
And the Quadrangle has played host to several A-listed events which brought together business moguls, captains of industries and the young but upwardly mobile jet-setters.
“We have done the celebrity hosting of our king, the Olota of otta on 28th October 2018. Senator Akin Odunsi was here on the 31st of March 2019 and Aare Ona Kakanfo, Iba Gani Adams came on August 18 2019. Music superstar Sir Shina Peters is scheduled as our guest for Jan 2020,” Seriki announced.
As part of events to mark the epochal event of its first anniversary, the Quadrangle will have highlife sensation and king of Asakasa, Los Kenge on the bandstand to entertain fans.
“For lovers of highlife music, Los Kenge will be performing live this Sunday and every last Sunday of the month going forward,” Seriki confirmed.
With good music, chilled drinks, sumptuous chops and dance, you have no reason to miss this event at Nana Hotel from 4pm.
