Nigerian youngster and Flying Eagles winger, Success Makanjuola has joined Spanish La Liga side CD Leganes from Water FC in Abuja.

Makanjuola18, signed a three-year deal with Leganes which has Compatriots and Super Eagles stars Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem on its roster.

The left-footed wonderboy was a member of the Flying Eagles team to the last U-20 World Cup.

His dribbling ability has drawn comparison with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi because of his lion-heart determination, strength, pace and bullet drives.

He admits his admiration for the Argentine superstar whom he now has the chance to see at close quarters in La Liga.

“The only player I always look up to is Lionel Messi. I derived every playing pattern from Messi, he’s my god. I love him, I love the badge he wears to shine as a player and I dream of getting to his level in the future,” he said.

His new team, coached by Manuel Pellegrini are languishing in 20th spot in the table with just two points from eight games so far.
